Irritatingly, this intercooler anode is pressed into the bronze plug meaning that you need to replace the plug and anode every year.

To avoid this you are better off to buy part 2-62042 together with 2-62043TP. If you opt to purchase the plug and anode separately, you can then change just the zinc anode annually. (Be warned that 2-62043 will still need to be “pressed” into the anode plug and could therefore be difficult to remove when the anode is changed.) Either Way buying 2-62043 and 2-62043TP still works out cheaper than the genuine Yanmar Anode.
